Dear Asian Youth, or DAY for short, is a global, youth-led organization and literary magazine founded in 2020, dedicated to empowering the Asian and Asian Pacific Islander Desi American (APIDA) community and promoting political engagement and intersectional activism.

 

In just one year, DAY has been featured in major news outlets like CNN, gained 110K+ followers on Instagram (and counting), created 150+ international chapters, and officially recognized as a fiscally sponsored 501(c)3 Non-Profit Organization.

The University of Chicago Chapter of Dear Asian Youth was launched in 2020 by a team of seven students to build on DAY's mission. We are committed to empowering Asian/APIDA youth, and promoting activism and political engagement in the APIDA community.
